Summary of the contracting process

Brighton & Hove City Council is initiating a procurement process to select a Service Provider for a cafe service at the Tarner Children's Centre located at Ivory Place, Brighton, BN2 9QE. The procurement is currently in the Planning stage, with the contract period set to commence on 1st September 2019 and conclude by 31st August 2020. The council encourages bidders to propose their rental contributions, with the highest proposals being favourably evaluated. Key requirements include operating hours from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and compliance with food hygiene and DBS standards. The procurement method is an open procedure, and further announcements regarding the tender process will be made on 14th June 2019.

This opportunity for supplying cafe services could enable businesses, particularly those in the food and beverage industry, to expand their reach and foster community engagement. Companies that specialise in healthy eating, catering, and those offering inclusive dining experiences would be well-suited for this tender. Given the centre's high foot traffic of families, a strong emphasis on customer service and diverse dietary options is expected, aligning with the council's objectives of healthy eating and sustainability. This is a promising chance for small and medium enterprises, as well as voluntary and community sector organisations, to contribute to local community services.
