Notice Description

This Advanced Request for Quotation (ARFQ) is for a service for the removal of deceased persons to a designated mortuary at the instruction of HM Coroner for Sefton, Knowsley and St Helens (Coroner's Removals). The Coroner gives no assurance as to the number of occasions that the Provider may be called upon to deliver the Service. The Coroner's Removals Service covers the jurisdiction of Sefton, Knowsley & St Helens. The service is designed to provide a respectful, dignified, efficient and speedy removal of the bodies of deceased persons from their place of death to the relevant mortuary facility. In order to minimize distress to family members, inconvenience to police personnel and, should the death occur in a public area, trauma to members of the public , it is a requirement that the body of the deceased person is removed from the place of death , within one hour of notification by H.M Coroner or any party acting under his authority.
