Notice Description

Reading Borough Council wish to appoint a contractor to carry out the following work: Phoebe Cusden House consists of 11 self - contained 1 bed flats, a staff office and residents garden room over 4 floors with access on the third floor to a roof terrace and on the ground floor to the property gardens, car parking and bin store. The property is currently used to house people with either learning or physical disabilities and mental health issues who need some form of assistance with their day-to-day lives that may otherwise prevent them managing their own tenancy. The property is managed by care providers who are present on site 24/7 to assist residents. The purpose of the works is to carry out further invasive survey work and to carry out any remedial works to make good the integrity of the 30 and 60 minute fire rated compartments to the flats and adjacent communal areas The Contractors tendering should preferably be NAPFIS registered The property shall be occupied at the time of work Contract duration is approximately 8 to 10 weeks, Contract start date to be agreed. Any request for additional information/clarification must be made in writing only through the Council's e-tendering portal (In-Tend), quoting in the message heading the specific section and question for which you require information or clarification. NOTE: You need to confirm your involvement (OPT IN) to be able to view the Selection Questionnaires and Form of Tender. Opt In gives access to the 'My Tender Return' area containing the questionnaires, the required document uploads and the 'Submit Return' button.
