Summary of the contracting process

The NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit is initiating a procurement process for the 'School Aged Immunisation Service', targeting health and social work services within regions of South East and South West England, specifically Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Wiltshire. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a Market Engagement Event scheduled for 16th June 2017. Interested providers must express their intent to attend by 5th June 2017, and tender documentation is expected to be released in July 2017, aiming for service commencement on 1st April 2018.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for healthcare providers specialising in immunisation services, particularly those with experience in delivering vaccination programmes to children. Companies capable of providing services that align with national immunisation strategies and have the necessary adaptability to evolving healthcare requirements would be well-positioned to compete. Participating in the Market Engagement Event will provide valuable insights into the expectations of NHS England, enabling prospective bidders to tailor their proposals more effectively.
