Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) and the City of Westminster (WCC) have awarded a contract for the "Bi-borough Young People's Health and Wellbeing Service." This initiative, focused on health services in London, aims to address substance misuse and smoking prevention among young people. The contract, valued at £1,184,341 and lasting three years with a potential one-year extension, falls under the open procurement method and was successfully awarded to Humankind Charity as of April 26, 2019. The service is set to commence on July 1, 2019, and run through to June 30, 2023.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health services, especially those providing preventive programmes, training, and community outreach for substance misuse among youth. Organisations that can deliver innovative interventions and support structures for schools and families would be advantageous to the procurement process. The focus on proactive health measures opens avenues for partnerships and collaborations targeted at enhancing the wellbeing of young residents in RBKC and WCC.
