Notice Description

The final date and time for the submission of bids is at 11:00 on Thursday 28th January 2021. DO NOT apply directly to the buyer. All tender information MUST be submitted through the Delta eSourcing Portal. Brief Description of Requirement The scope of this project is to provide a flat pack/pre-fabricated structure that can be assembled by hand with basic power and hand tools. Due to desired location on station, that the hut will be located it is essential that the structure MUST be able to be assembled without the use of any plant or vehicles, as vehicle access is impossible. The hut must be able to withstand the harsh weather conditions that are ever present on the Antarctic Peninsula, therefore a robust design is required. The supplier must also meet a number of strict logistical/cargo requirements, which can be found in section 4 of this specification. This requirement is supply only, with the supplied goods being assembled by British Antarctic Survey staff. Any M+E installation works are NOT included within this requirement. The supplier is not required to provide any electrical or mechanical products within this requirement (however the supplier is expected to provide a heat trace door seal for the structure). Please make sure that you provide sufficient detail of you requirement so that potential suppliers will have a full understanding of what is required.
