Summary of the contracting process

Seetec Business Technology Centre Limited, operating through its subsidiary Pluss CIC, is inviting tenders for a contract titled "Daily Transport Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities (Mon - Fri)" under an open procedure. The procurement involves providing door-to-door transport services for adults with learning disabilities, between their homes and Pluss at Scott Business Park, Plymouth (PL2 2PQ), operating Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. The contract period spans from 1st November 2025 to 1st November 2026. The procurement is currently at the tender stage, with interested parties required to submit their applications by 11th September 2025. Notably, the industry category involves patient-transport vehicles and taxi services, with the contract valued between £30,000 and £35,000.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in transportation services, particularly those with expertise in handling vulnerable groups such as individuals with learning disabilities. Companies that can provide reliable and safe transport solutions using well-maintained, modern vehicles meeting DVSA standards, and that have staff trained in disability awareness and safeguarding, would be well-suited to compete. The successful business must accommodate flexible service numbers and be prepared to cater to varying support needs and occasional additional journeys. This presents an excellent opportunity for SMEs and VCSE organisations operating within Plymouth and its surrounding areas to expand their portfolio in the health and social care sectors.
