Notice Description

The hold baggage screening x-ray machine at Newquay Cornwall Airport needs to be upgraded to meet the requirements of standard 3 machines for Explosive Detection System (EDS) as set out in UK and European legislation. At the same time, the Airport wishes to replace its 2 cabin baggage x-ray machines and the Walk-Through Metal Detectors that are used for the passenger screening process in the central search comb area. The new cabin baggage x-ray machines shall meet the requirements of new UK and European legislation for the screening of liquid and gels.
