Notice Description

UKRI-STFC is contracted to supply critical front end receiver technologies for a fleet of spaceborne satellites as a part of the MetOp-SG programme. RAL Space will provide state -of-the-art receiver (detector) front-ends to three instruments on the MetOp-SG satellite mission. Several of the receivers will include IF processing units (IPUs) containing alumina ceramic Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) featuring a number of specialised soldered surface mount components that allow operation within the radio frequency range. These IPU modules will provide state-of-the-art gain flatness vs. frequency and gain stability vs. temperature and therefore represent critical components for MetOp-SG. This requirement is for verification of IF processing units and IPU assembly
