Summary of the contracting process

The University of Wolverhampton is currently seeking to establish a framework for External Relations Management Services through a selective tender process. The procurement, classified under the Advertising and Marketing Services category, consists of three lots: Lot 1 for Media Buying and Creative, Lot 2 for Video Production Services, and Lot 3 for Promotional Products. The tender period closes on 8th July 2019, with the framework contract expected to commence on 1st February 2020 and last for three years, potentially extendable by one year based on performance. The services are to be delivered in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, and will also be available for use by other public bodies in the region. Interested suppliers must meet specific insurance and turnover requirements depending on the lot they wish to bid for.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly in media, video production, and promotional products, to expand their client base through public sector contracts. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as the tender allows applications for multiple lots. With the framework’s collaborative nature, successful bidders can expect a steady stream of work over the duration of the contract, especially through mini-competitions for Lot 2, which could further enhance their business visibility and capability within the public sector.
