Notice Description

The authority is looking to engage contractors with the capability and capacity to lead, co-ordinate and manage the delivery of works projects. Core works will be delivered inhouse with specialist works delivered in conjunction with their established supply chains, as part of a framework agreement to undertake works to the Parliamentary Estate: - Mechanical Electrical Public Health - (Lot 1) Typical projects include works to MEP systems such as low power unit boards, ups, steam system, water supply, ventilation ducting, division bells, sewerage, chillers and any ancillary specialist services. The estimated works total per annum is as follows: - Mechanical Electrical Public Health (MEP) - (Lot 1) Estimated works value of GBP 10 m to GBP 15 m per annum. - Conservation (Lot 2) Typical projects include specialist conservation works including (but not limited to) stonework, brickwork, plasterwork, carpentry, leadwork and metalwork, glasswork, paint and finishes, tiling and mosaics, and any associated temporary/make safe works and any ancillary specialist services. The estimated works total per annum on each lot is as follows: - Conservation (Lot 2) Estimated works value of GBP 10 m to GBP 15 m per annum. - Minor works (Lot 3) Typical projects include small projects, emergency works, minor works associated with office relocation projects, intrusive surveys and any ancillary specialist services. The estimated works total per annum on each lot is as follows: - Minor works Estimated works value up to GBP 1 m per individual project, with estimated annual Works value of GBP 10 - GBP 15 m per annum. An invitation to tender (ITT) is due to be issued in mid May 2020 and will provide full details of the framework. Once appointed onto a framework lot, mini-competitions or direct awards will be issued based on the NEC3 or NEC4 suite of contracts using both traditional and design and build procurement methods. Works will be awarded by mini-competition or direct award, where value for money can be demonstrated. The allocation of the work via direct awards, and to maintain a position on the framework, is likely to be subject to a performance management regime using Key Performance Indicators. After expressions of interests are registered there is three documents made available, one of which is the soft market questionnaire, the other two are background information regarding the framework.
