Men's Crisis House in Bristol
Notice Description
NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) are considering their commissioning options for a 8 - 10 bedded crisis house in Bristol for men and trans men who would otherwise require an acute stay. This includes men avoiding an admission and men who may need a stay as part of a step down from an inpatient stay. The service will form part of the BNSSG crisis pathway and will require partnership working with AWP crisis and community teams. The anticipated annual contract value of the Service is circa PS440,000. Commissioners wish to understand the level of interest in this service from the and invite suitably qualified and experienced providers to complete the attached engagement questionnaire to understand the opportunities and barriers within Bristol and to assist Commissioners developing their commissioning approach and service specification. The vision of this service is to: * work with people experiencing significant emotional distress and a period of crisis in their mental health * work collaboratively with clinical services and other system partners to support flow through the BNSSG acute and crisis pathway. * co-produce and embed lived experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of services; * deliver inclusive services which meet the needs of our diverse population in BNSSG and actively working to address inequalities and improve outcomes (including improved qualitative/quantitative data capture and analysis); * provide a less restrictive environment than an acute bed enabling people to maintain their social networks and activities of daily living skills * support the BNSSG system to maintain flow through the acute pathway maximising acute bed capacity and helping to keep people who do need acute beds within BNSSG Providers wishing to take part in the market engagement must express an interest to the below emails, upon receipt providers will be given access to a draft specification in order to complete their questionnaire. Bidders who request the specification will be expected to complete the questionnaire. Completed questionnaires should be submitted no later than 5pm, 7th July 2023 by email to the following addresses: donnaharrington@nhs.net and caitlin.dyke@nhs.net This activity is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners. Additional information: This notice is an information gathering exercise rather than a call for competition in its own right, and therefore publication or response does not commit BNSSG ICB, AWP or respondents to a future procurement, nor provide any process exemptions or preferential treatment to any parties expressing an interest. Commissioners are looking to establish what interest there might be in providing such a service from suitably qualified, capable and competent organisations. BNSSG and AWP will not be liable for costs incurred by any interested party in participating in this exercise. Interested parties should note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an automatic invitation to any subsequent formal procurement, which the commissioners will consider in due course. The services are healthcare services falling within Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations") which are not subject to the full regime of the Regulations, but is instead governed by the "Light Touch Regime" contained within Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Regulations (Regulations 74 to 77).
