Notice of Request for Information Relating to the Provision of a Neurophysiology Testing and Reporting Service
Notice Description
This RFI and accompanying SoR invites interested suppliers to read and provide feedback for Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre's (DMRC) planned procurement of Neurophysiology Testing and Reporting for patients of DMRC. The preference is to procure the necessary services through a suitable healthcare provider. The objectives of this Request for Information are for the Authority to: a. better understand relevant healthcare providers that may provide the capability required b. confirm that the market can provide the services required c. better understand the routes to market which could provide access to the relevant services. Point of Contact details Overview of the Requirement Defence Rehabilitation (Def Rehab) provides a continuous pathway of care from Primary Care to the DMRC at Stanford Hall. Due to the "hub and spoke" model of Def Rehab, only a specific subset of patients are referred onwards to DMRC with the most complex musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. As part of specialist investigations to evaluate these injuries and their likely recovery, neurophysiological investigations including Electromyography (EMG), Electroencephalogram (EEG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) are required by DMRC. The Contractor is to provide a range of neurophysiology investigations including: a. EEG b. EMG c. NCS d. Quantitative sensory testing (QST) e. Thermal thresholds (TT) f. Visual evoked potentials (VEPs) g. Auditory evoked potentials (AEPs) The requirement is for up to 30 tests per annum but must be able to surge to 50 tests if required (please reference the attached SoR for more detail). There is no guarantee of this activity and an annual value of PS15,000 is based on previous aggregate annual spend. Information you provide to the Authority in response to this RFI will be handled in-confidence. By submitting a response to this RFI you are giving the Authority permission to keep and use the information for our internal purposes. The Authority shall not use nor disclose the information for any other purpose, without first requesting permission to do so. Any and all costs associated with the production of a response either to this RFI or any resultant competition shall be borne by the provider. The Authority shall not contribute in any way to meeting the cost of any response. This RFI is not a means to seek formal expressions of interest.
