Summary of the contracting process

The Nottingham City Council is currently conducting a tender for the "Young Leaders Programme," which aims to support young individuals aged 16 to 29 in improving their aspirations and making positive life choices. The procurement is classified under health and social work services, with a total value of £30,000. The tender period is open until 22nd February 2019, and the contract is set to commence on 1st April 2019, lasting until 31st March 2020. The project delivery will focus on the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom, utilising an open procurement method to encourage broad participation.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), to engage in meaningful work aimed at enhancing youth employment outcomes and social integration. Companies with expertise in youth engagement, educational programmes, mentoring, or community services are well-positioned to compete for this contract, potentially aiding their growth while contributing positively to societal challenges such as youth violence and disengagement.

Notice Title

Young Leaders Programme

Notice Description

The project will engage with identified young people aged between 16 and 29 year olds and take them through a series of activities that will raise aspirations, encourage positive choice making and provide through direction and mentoring a positive route towards Employment or Further Education. With an improvement of service user's economic situations, this should deter engagement of knife crime related activities, reducing involvement in violent incidents. We also expect to see improved social integration and willingness to engage with wider statutory services.
