Notice Description

Background Following a review of its support to voluntary organisations, the Council is supporting services to improve independent living (elderly, young families, vulnerable, veterans, residents with disabilities) and their families within the Borough through the provision of a Grant. The Grant will commence from 1 April 2020 for a maximum 3 year period, subject to annual budget processes and satisfactory progress in meeting the outcomes and the indicative measures by the successful Bidder. Outcomes Support for the elderly, young families, vulnerable, veterans, residents with disabilities and their families has been identified as an area of critical need in order to support independent living, resilience and health & wellbeing of our residents. The Council's investment is expected to help to deliver the following outcomes:- To improve the resilience of the elderly, young families, vulnerable, veterans, residents with disabilities and their families To reduce potential demand for crisis services by early intervention and protection To Improve health & wellbeing of our residents Support networking/partnership arrangements between local/national organisations with particular emphasis on local service providers To engage with Veterans/Service leavers To support digital inclusion and assist service users to become more digitally literate Increased number of appropriate referrals into employability programmes for West Lancashire.
