Notice Title

Award of Project manager - Strengthening the process for decision making for health funded care

Notice Description

AWARD ONLY OF:- The provision of a Project Manager for strengthening the process for decision making for health funded care. Currently the local authority works with the local Clinical Commissioning Group to identify where the individual's needs indicate a primary health care need. In these circumstances the NHS rather than the local authority should fund the care for the individual. The systems and processes that are in place need to be reviewed and strengthened to ensure the correct decisions are made. This has a significant impact for customers as social care services are means tested and require customers to make a financial contribution and health care services are free at the point of delivery. There is a new National Framework which underpins this decision making to be launched in the Autumn so the work needs to start without delay. The consultant needs a fairly specific skill set to be able to clearly understand the limits of social care and to have the professional credibility to be able to work with the CCG. The individual also needs sufficient seniority to be able to put in an appropriate challenge. We have identified an individual with the correct skill set to be able to undertake the work. . The assignment is planned for 6 months
