Provision of Business Related Workshop Facilitation Services to Nottingham Trent University

Project Overview 1. High Level Skills Who is eligible for support? Start-up/new and established businesses (SMEs) based in the D2N2 area * An SME is defined as having a headcount of less than 250 and a turnover of not more than EUR50 million or a balance sheet total of not more than EUR43 million. * SMEs who have not received De Minimis aid of more than EUR200,000 granted over a period of three years. * SMEs who have not received De Minimis aid of more than EUR200,000 granted over a period of three years. 2. The Agreement - Workshop Design and Facilitation Services This procurement exercise is seeking to appoint a professional service provider to work closely with High Level Skills staff to design and delivery high-quality services to support participants of the programmes. We are seeking experienced individuals with a track record of working with established SMEs, to support the objectives of the programmes. * Workshop design & facilitation for established businesses (ESTs) Contract Commencement/Period The Agreement shall commence from the date of confirmation of the contract, and this award is for an 18-month period (until October 2020). The number of repeat sector workshops will vary depending on demand. A minimum of 10 workshops will be delivered, with a total maximum of 20 workshops. Additional information: Specification for Required Service Activities Market Intelligence: Talent in X sector workshop Request of a supplier required supporting design and delivery of B2B workshops for established SMEs in the D2N2 area. These workshops are called Market Intelligence: Talent in X sector. The workshop will engage 8-10 SMEs from a specific sector, whereby we'll be presenting market intelligence around the theme of graduate talent. Each workshop has two main features (Part 1) Market intelligence about Talent trends in their sector, as well as presenting any overarching sector opportunities/challenges (Part 2) An interactive graduate attraction plan, offering bespoke consultation to SMEs and to generate discussions on - Sector specific activity on NTU campus - Preferred HE attraction methods - Future skills gaps - Arising sector challenges - Diversity and Social mobility agenda - NTU alumni mapping - Future company growth and sustainability We want the supplier to (1) Undertake sector research to support design of content. There will be some internal sector information available that our academic and professional colleagues will share at design stage. (2) Design of workshop content for Part 1 and Part 2. (3) Design work template needed for Part 2 activity. (4) Workshop facility @ 3 hrs/session (5) Provide resources to enable NTU staff to deliver future workshops The design should be done in collaboration with NTU Employability staff and sector intelligence officer. The objective is: - Share and increase awareness of industry specific opportunities and challenges, with focus on futureproofing your Talent needs - Improve business capability to recruit NTU students/graduates - Support business to scale-up resulting in new job creation - Grow relationship with targeted SMEs, the graduate attraction plan should aid exclusivity with NTU The Employability team will recruit employers for this scheme. Identified sectors for the workshop: Technology Advertising, Marketing & PR Manufacturing & Engineering Creative Architecture Legal Construction Film & Media Professional Services Food & Drink Over the course of 18 months (April 2019-October 2020), we would repeat popular sector workshops, in total there would be 10-20 workshops, engaging a total of 100-200 SMEs. Each workshop is 3-hour intervention and will be held at NTU. A representative from Employability Team and our Sector Intelligence officer will be attending each workshop. The supplier need to act professionally and manage NTU's reputation, when working with the employers.
