project_24066 - National Permitting Service (NPS) Resources Contract

Notice Description

National Permitting Service is a busy department with 450 staff across 5 offices delivering a permitting service for the Environment Agency. We are seeking support in the determination of permit applications made under the Environmental Permitting Regulations for the remainder of the financial year. We are looking for around 15-20 experienced professionals who are familiar with the permitting process or the activities we regulate. Circa 15fte to deliver permitting directly for waste and installation regimes and ~1-4fte to provide technical support to our less experienced staff as well as delivering some permitting themselves. This request is being made in response to increasing workloads across the National Permitting Service and a desire to initiate a step change in our work load and enhancement to our customer service.
