Notice Title

Digital Falls Assessment tool

Notice Description

The Cheshire and Merseyside ICS (Integrated Care System), through its Regional Care Home Support for Care Home steering Group, is seeking to support its local place leads and Care sector providers with the adoption of digitally enabled healthcare tools. We are completing an initial scoping exercise and would particularly like to facilitate an open discussion with suitable providers of Digital Health tools and systems who are currently supplying, or have in development, a Digital falls assessment tool that could be used within Care homes across the regional footprint. Improving care by reducing the incidences of falls is a key objective within the strategic document, Framework for Enhanced health in Care homes. Any implementation of a suitable system would be with a phased approach with support and training for staff within the care sector a key part of any contractual arrangement along with regular evaluation of tangible metrics and qualitative user outcomes. Suppliers should be mindful of the national digital drivers relating to the Regulated Care sector namely: * The wider adoption of remote monitoring tools (both in care settings and at home) * National support and policy to implement electronic care records within the social care sector * The preferred procurement of a single digital platform (rather than multiple stand alone systems) by which staff are able to access multiple modules or systems which can provide a holistic digital assessment of the health and wellbeing of residents. * The importance of the adoption of products and technologies in the health and social care system that can be interoperable with other systems, in terms of hardware, software and the data contained within.
