Building Control Service to Rutland County Council

Notice Description

Rutland County Council are seeking a Building Control Service provider to fulfil its statutory obligations in respect of building control, including evaluation, inspection and approval of design and construction works. Office space and administrative support will be provided in Council premises and the services must also be available as required outside office hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays. The service must be provided by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced persons. The service provider must be able to commence services from 1st April 2018. The contract will be for an initial term of three years with the option to extend for up to a further two years subject to performance. TUPE: The current provider has one member of staff directly engaged in the delivery of this service. In addition the Council provides one Full Time Equivalent (FTE) in support of this role. Should the potential bidder wish to subsume the existing staff then TUPE is likely to apply. Staff details will be made available to bidders who register an interest. Expression of Interest: Please ensure you register your interest by emailing both Andrew Edwards, Head of Property Services and Paul Large, Welland Procurement, by no later than Mon 18th December. aedwards@rutland.gov.uk and plarge@melton.gov.uk Clarifications: Registering your interest will ensure you receive any updates and clarifications. The deadline for clarification questions is also Mon 18th December. Responses to questions of relevance to all potential bidders will be published as an attachment(s) to this Notice (and entitled 'Clarifications') by no later than noon Friday 22nd Dec 2017. Deadline for tenders: Noon Fri 12th January 2018. Two printed copies of the completed tender Response document must be submitted accompanied by a back-up copy on memory stick. Other Notices: A corresponding Notice appears on Source Rutland and also in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU)OJ/S S231 01/12/2017 481703-2017-EN.
