Notice Description

Staffordshire Police is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Health Physicians to provide on-site Occupational Health Services to Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. The key responsibility for the service provider will be to conduct on-site medical reviews for a range of circumstances, for example, long term sickness absence, ill health retirement and injury awards, pre-employment medicals, asbestos medicals etc. The service provider will also provide professional clinical guidance and support to the team in order for the unit to meet its aims of maintaining and further improving the wellbeing of the workforce. The Contractor must be able to provide an Occupational Health Physician (Physician service) who has experience as an Occupational Health Physician, preferably gained in a Police and/or Fire environment, the service provider should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to handle sensitive situations which may involve conflict.
