Dear Homecare Providers We are contacting you to advise you that Buckinghamshire Council has begun the process of re-commissioning the Home Care Services across Buckinghamshire, with the intention to go out to tender in August 2021. We would therefore like to invite you to our "Soft Market Test" provider event. Our aim for this event is to get as many providers of Home Care services to attend, explain Buckinghamshire Councils intentions and use the opportunity to gather as much information from providers, to assist in shaping how the service will look going forward. During this event we are looking for specific information around how current services are being delivered, such as: * What is going well * What isn't going so well * Suggestions of improvements * Areas of need - including geographical limitations/saturation * Training that is required (or potentially required) * Specific issues affecting providers * Recruitment and retention of staff * Costs implications/limitations * Specialist requirements (peg feeding, syringe drivers, stoma care etc) * Specialist end of life care * Referral processes * Communications Additionally, we will be highlighting: 1. Background and service overview 2. Potential future service model and market 3. Provisional procurement timeline & overview 4. Next steps The event will be held on 12th April 2021 at 11:00 via Microsoft Teams. If you would like to join us, please confirm your email address via the portal and an invite to the event will be sent to you. This will include joining information, an agenda and supporting attachments. Alternatively, please email opres_domcare_commissioning@buckinghamshire.gov.uk to register your interest in attending. Please note that the Council will make all of the presentations and a recording of the event is available via opres_domcare_commissioning@buckinghamshire.gov.uk for those unable to attend and there will be an opportunity to input outside of the event. We will be holding an additional two events in the coming months to highlight progress, changes to the process, timeline and key dates for your diaries; these will be announced in due course.
