Summary of the contracting process

The Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk is seeking bids for its Housing Support Services contracts, aimed at ending homelessness in the region. This procurement, classified under housing services and valued at £756,600, invites tenders through an open procedure. The tender focuses on two primary services: Intensive Homelessness Support Service and Early Intervention and Prevention Support Service. The Council has amended one of the evaluation criteria for Lot 2 to focus on the identification of key skills of personnel and their alignment with the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy. The services will operate across the East of England, specifically in King's Lynn and West Norfolk, and will support individuals in maintaining or securing accommodation. The tender process is active, with a closing date for submissions on 25 November 2024, and the contract period extends from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in housing and homelessness support services. SMEs and VCSEs are particularly encouraged to apply, given the procurement's suitability criteria. The Council is open to innovative approaches and added value proposals, making this an excellent opportunity for organisations with creative solutions to support at-risk households. Potential bidders can enhance their portfolio, contribute to the local community, and secure long-term contracts by providing impactful services aimed at reducing homelessness. This tender is an ideal opportunity for firms experienced in delivering preventive and intervention-based support services to collaborate with the Council and make a meaningful difference.

The Council is open to creative ideas as to how the service(s) could be delivered and how you could bring any added value to these services.
