Carers Support Services - engagement opportunity for providers
Notice Description
Carers Support Services - engagement opportunity for providers It is Kent County Council's intention to commission a new Countywide Carers Assessment and Support service. We will do this in partnership with Kent's seven NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups. Our aim is to make best use of the resources available to us, and maximise the positive impact this service has on Kent carers. The resulting service should: provide support, advice and information which contributes to making Kent a carer friendly county; where carers' contribution to family life and society generally is recognised, valued and supported enable us to work closely and strategically with our providers incentivise innovative and creative service development by being outcome focussed promote and maintain health and wellbeing identify and seek solutions for gaps in care pathways. We are keen to hear the thoughts and views of providers about how we might achieve these objectives and are organising workshops in Maidstone on Thursday 30th March 2017 and Friday 31st March 2017. Any themes and topics which result from the workshops will be used to inform any future engagement. The content of each workshop will be repeated and you will only need to attend one. Please email communitysupport@kent.gov.uk to request your place. Note, due to space limitations, we ask that no more than 2 people per organisation attend. This will be communicated when detail of the workshops are confirmed.
