Summary of the contracting process

The Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is currently undertaking a tender for the "Provision of a North West Market Sustainability and Oversight Review". This procurement, categorised under health and social work services, aims to assess the residential and nursing home care market for older individuals and those with learning disabilities in the North West region of England. The open procedure tender is active, with submissions closing on 10 April 2017. Expected contract commencement is set for 1 May 2017, concluding on 24 July 2017. The total budget for this initiative is £60,000.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in market analysis, care services, or commissioning strategies. Businesses capable of conducting detailed predictive analyses and providing well-informed recommendations regarding care models and sustainability would be particularly well-suited to compete. Engaging in this process could not only expand their market presence but also contribute to shaping future care services within the North West.
