Tower Hamlets Last Years of Life Befriending and Dementia Support Service
Notice Description
NHS Tower Hamlets Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking to commission an organisation that will support the delivery of Last Years of Life Befriending and Dementia Support Service. The Service will be delivered and based in London Borough of Tower Hamlets and managed locally. The objectives of the service is to provide a service for people in the last year of life that enables them to remain at home for as long as possible, if this is their choice. The service seeks to improve the experience of patients in local services and supports them/their carers to have the best quality of life possible. It also aim to help those patients with dementia and give them the support to live in their last years of life. The estimated annual contract value is PS91,500. Total estimated for three years is PS274,500. The initial contract will be for the duration of 2 years with the options to extend for a further 1 year. It is anticipated that the new service will commence on 1 April 2019. This procurement is for clinical services which are part of the 'Light Touch Regime' for the purpose of the Regulations. However the contract value for this procurement is below the threshold for Light Touch Regime. The procedure that the Authority/Commissioner is following is as set out in this ITT. As the Authority/Commissioner is a relevant body for the purposes of the National Health Service (Procurement Patient Choice and Competition) (No.2) Regulation 2013 these regulations also apply to this procurement. The Commissioner is following an Open Procurement procedure as is set out in the Invitation to Tender. Additional information: The successful provider is expected to commence mobilisation of the project in January 2019, with the actual project delivery commencing on 01 April 2019. Expression of Interest, questions for clarification and Tender submissions are via Pro-Contract (https://procontract.due-north.com/Login) portal. Expression of interest and tender submission by any other means will not be considered. Tender Response Document is made available online via the e-tendering portal. Bidders must respond to all questions. The deadline for the submission of the tender is 12noon on 26 October 2018. Supplier register, login, complete the tender response documentation electronically and submit them via Pro-contract e-tendering portal. Please note that communication from NEL Commissioning Support Unit or CCG regarding this tender will be via Pro-contract discussion board. Bidders must use Pro-contract discussion board for their communications with NEL Commissioning Support Unit or CCG regarding procurement.
