Brief description: We have an opportunity for 3 full time Adult's Community Social Worker to join the West Bromwich Community Social Work team. We are looking for a committed and hardworking social care professional to bring your experience, skills, and attributes to make a difference to the lives of the people of Sandwell. You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS. You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, learning disability, physical disability, older people and their carers. You will need to be confident in undertaking safeguarding investigations, mental capacity assessments, best interest decisions, carrying out outcome focused assessments and with support planning. You will be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies. You will be given a robust induction, appropriate training opportunities, regular supervision with experienced leads and excellent career development opportunities. We have agile working facilities and flexible working policies in place. You will be working within a friendly, skilled, diverse and supportive team. Minimal, two years post qualification experience preferred The team base is at the Council House Oldbury, B69 3DE but staff are currently working from home due to Covid 19 restrictions. Can agile from any of the Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's many bases once restrictions ease.
