Summary of the contracting process

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking tenders for the supply of home adaptation products, particularly a range of wet room parts including bi-fold doors, shower rails, pumps, grab rails, and shower seats. The procurement process, identified as SCC 354, involves an open procedure above the threshold, and the tender period is open until 1st December 2017. The contract will commence on 1st February 2018 and conclude on 31st January 2021. This tender is classified under the main procurement category of goods and specifically falls within the industry of devices for the disabled, with delivery locations in the West Midlands, UK.

This opportunity presents significant prospects for businesses specialising in the supply of bathroom and medical aid equipment, as they can submit bids for one or more of the three distinct lots available. Companies that manufacture or can supply the required parts, particularly those capable of providing bespoke items for custom repairs, will find themselves well-positioned to compete. Engaging in this tender could not only expand their client base within the public sector but also enhance their product visibility in the growing field of assistive technologies.
