Focused on the health and social work services industry, this process took place in the North East of the United Kingdom. The procurement was carried out using an open procedure that went above the threshold and covered a framework period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2028. The procurement stage is now at the award phase as of 1 April 2026, following the initial tender publication on 11 April 2025. Key opportunities arose for submissions, evaluated every six months, with the contract term closed on 30 September 2025 and contract implementation from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2028.

This framework presents significant business growth opportunities for SMEs and VCSEs focused on health and social work services, specifically those offering club services, individual support, overnight support, and community services. The open and competitive essential nature of the process allows a variety of businesses to participate, especially those adept in electronic tender submissions through the Open UK platform. The awarded contracts, valued at £3.6 million, were granted to several suppliers, including BMS Care Providers Ltd, Collens Healthcare Ltd, Frontline Health Professionals Ltd, and MMAB Consulting Ltd, which positions them well for delivering significant services and capturing market share.
