Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Market Engagement - Invitation -Wednesday 20th September - Nottingham. In early November 2017 (Estimated), the DVSA will be issuing an Invitation To Tender (ITT) for the provision of End User Computing (EUC) services. THE ITT will ONLY BE ISSUED to suppliers from the list of organisations CONFIRMED AS BEING ON LOT 3 of the TECH SERVICES 2 Framework (RM3804). To support the procurement and engage the market, DVSA is holding a supplier event in Nottingham on Wednesday 20th September 2017, between 10am and 3 pm. A number of suppliers will be present at the event. Space is limited but we will ensure any information given out at the event is made widely available to all those on the framework through the Crown Commercial Services portal as soon as the framework goes live. The aims of this event are for potential suppliers to understand the DVSA's requirement. For potential suppliers to provide their view on the content covered in the ITT. To test the procurement model with the market. An agenda and joining instructions will be sent to those that confirm they wish to be included. PLEASE CONFIRM if your organisation would like to participate by Friday 8th September 5pm (by email to procurement.branch@dvsa.gov.uk) and provide the names, role and email address of the people who will be attending (Max of 2 please, due to space constraints). Please include DVSA EUC Invitation as the subject line of the email. Additional Background Information. Any information provided is based on what is currently available at the time of writing and is subject to change. The current contract ends in March 2018. The new contract will be for 3 years minimum, possibly up to 5 years. ITT will be issued through the Crown Commercial Service Technology Services 2 Framework in November 2017.The procurement scope is made up of service groups 3a and 3c. The DVSA has a workforce of around 4,500 staff with the majority being frontline workers. The Office of the Traffic Commissioner (OTC) has a workforce of around 200 Office Staff. Offices across England, Wales and Scotland including 7 DVSA Administrative Offices, 7 OTC offices and 485 operational sites are all in scope for Field Service Support. The estate consists of around 4500 devices split 50/50 between desktops and laptops, recently refreshed with the majority covered by a 3 year warranty. There are around 2600 small to medium personal/small office type printers that are in scope also. Large printers and MFD's are out of scope. There are around 300 software catalogue applications. Further details of requirements will be provided at the market engagement event. If you cannot attend, slides from the event will be provided on the CCS portal when the framework goes live. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
