"description": "The above procurement was abandoned in March 2021. The CCG has therefore made a short-term direct award to ensure continued provision of these critical primary care services. In these circumstances the CCG considers that a direct contract award is permissible in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (regulation 32c) on an emergency basis. The CCG does not intend for this to be in place any longer than is necessary in order for a new procurement process to be run and a handover to take place. A new procurement exercise will be launched in May 2021 to select a substantive supplier for the service. The direct award is made for a 6 month period (1st April 2021 - 30th September 2021) to ensure service provision whilst that process is undertaken.",
