Summary of the contracting process

Birmingham City Council is initiating a tender process for the "Home Care Enablement Pilot South Birmingham." This procurement is aimed at providing approximately 100 enablement packages of care for both younger and older adults in the South of the city, specifically covering areas such as Edgbaston, Harborne, and Selly Oak. The procurement method is open, and interested parties must register on the Council's e-tendering system by 12:00 GMT on 25th July 2016. The contract period is anticipated to start on 8th August 2016 and conclude on 2nd September 2016, making this a significant opportunity for service providers in the care industry.

This tender presents a promising opportunity for care service providers, particularly those that are CQC registered and already approved on the Council's Home Care Framework. Businesses that specialise in outpatient care services with capabilities to deliver flexible enablement packages ranging from 3 to 15 hours per week are particularly well-suited to compete. The successful provider will not only gain a contract to deliver essential community services but will also be able to expand their clientele and reinforce their presence in the Birmingham region.
