Notice Information
Notice Title
External Pulmonary Rehabilitation Support Service
Notice Description
Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT ( BCHC) is seeking to establish interested suppliers that have the capacity and capability to mobilise and manage patients requiring Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR). The service will need to be implemented as soon as is practically possible ( Sept / early Oct ) and cover the Birmingham and West Midlands area. The external support would supplement that currently undertaken internally within BCHC .The internal PR is specifically for patients with diagnosed respiratory conditions, including bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic asthma. The programme is over 6 weeks, with patients being seen twice a week and each having a tailored education plan. Internally staffing numbers are based on a ratio of 1:8 with internal clinical input from a combination of Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Assistants, however flexibility would remain with any provider on how they conduct the service but BCHC would expect a similar level of clinical support. If this is a service you are able seriously a contender to potentially provide either in its entirety or in part please confirm to Elizabeth.Ratcliffe@nhs.net the following information by 3.9.21 - Supplier name , address and key contact details - Previous experience in this field and those organisations within which it was undertaken - Potential mobilisation period
