Essex County Council ('the Council') undertook a procurement to secure a range of effective, reliable and efficient providers to deliver children's residential placements to enable the Council to fulfil its statutory duties under section 22A of the Children's Act 1989. The overarching aims of this service are to provide stable placements in suitable accommodation which supports young people to attain their own aspirations and develop the requisite life skills in preparation for their transition to adulthood and progression to independent living. This procurement was conducted under the light touch regime and incorporate the following 3 lots: Lot 1: Children with disabilities; Lot 2: Social emotional mental health (SEMH); Lot 3: Same day emergency placements, potentially with assessment for CWD or SEMH where further assessment is required.
