Summary of the contracting process

The North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium Limited has initiated a Framework Agreement for "Cleaning Equipment Supply and Maintenance", aimed at various educational institutions across England, Scotland, and Wales. This procurement process follows an open method and has reached the Award stage as of 26th February 2019, with the contract period commencing on 1st March 2019 and lasting until 28th February 2023. Interested parties should note that the tender period ended on 8th January 2019, with a total contract value of approximately £20,080,840 and a minimum value of £5,000,000.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for cleaning equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and maintenance companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can meet the diverse needs of institutional clients. Given the numerous lots within the framework, businesses specialising in the supply and maintenance of commercial cleaning machines and associated services are well-positioned to compete effectively. Companies that can offer innovative cleaning solutions and robust support services will likely find successful avenues for expanding their business within this framework agreement.
