Summary of the contracting process

The Integrated Sexual Health Services tender, offered by Cumbria County Council, seeks to establish an integrated service designed to enhance existing lower-level sexual health provisions in the North West region of the United Kingdom. With a total contract value of £9,200,000, this procurement is classified under health services (CPV 85100000). The tender period is set to conclude on 11th April 2019, and the contract is expected to commence on 1st October 2019, running until 30th September 2023. This open procurement process aims to collect competitive bids to fulfil the council's legal mandate under the Health and Social Care Act 2012.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for business growth, particularly for organisations operating within the health services sector. Companies that specialise in providing sexual health and reproductive services, including STI testing and contraceptive advice, would be well-positioned to compete effectively. Given the emphasis on integrated and comprehensive service delivery, businesses that can demonstrate experience in collaboration and the provision of a wide range of health services will likely be at an advantage in the bidding process.
