Notice Title

Data Improvement Project - Data Management Application

Notice Description

Our aim is to procure and implement a data management application that improves the university's Use, Management and Governance of Data. Whilst our preferred solution would cover Use, Management and Governance, we acknowledge that, given the differing needs for these three areas, we may need to procure a portfolio of applications, potentially from more than one vendor, that can easily exchange data with each other. The key objectives that we expect to support through the data management application are: * Ensure that we can produce high quality, consistent datasets which will help to unlock insights into our activities and inform decisions to achieve our plans; * Address issues around the integration of core systems to improve the flow of information between systems; and * Establish a common approach to the governance of data, clarifying data ownership of specific pieces of data and also what it means to be a data owner in terms of data maintenance. An integral part of the procurement is the provision of Staff training for the setup, configuration and use of the application(s).
