Notice Description

Westminster City Council (WCC), as lead authority, intends to undertake a competitive tendering procurement on behalf of itself and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) for the provision of young people's sexual health and substance misuse services. The procurement exercise aims to award one contract; Young Peoples Sexual Health and Substance Misuse (non-clinical) Community Service. This service will: - Offer a robust holistic provision that is adapted around the needs of the young person; - Deliver young people's substance misuse service with the scope for on-going development that is responsive to the changing needs of young people; - Offer good quality relationship and sex education (RSE) in the community; - Offer on-going health promotion/advice and support to enable young people to make informed and safer choices about their relationships and sexual health; - Offer a peer education/mentoring package that innovates supports young people into employment; and - Offer up-to-date, good quality training for those that deliver RSE sessions. The service will need to be accessible, responsive and innovative providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary interventions and targeted support for those young people most at risk. The service will work closely with the adult community sexual and reproductive health service, ensuring a clear/fast pathway into testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. The contract will be required to work collaboratively with the GUM providers, primary care and the school health service to deliver seamless patient pathways. Prior to commencing any formal public procurement process, WCC and RBKC wish to engage with interested providers to help present the service model for the contract.
