Notice Description

Tenders are being invited for the provision of environmental enforcement within the boundaries of Manchester City Council. The City Council requires quotations for the cost of staffing provision based on shared revenue generation by paid FPNs Target Group It is proposed that a dedicated team of minimum 10 FTE Enforcement Officers per day, are to be deployed Monday to Sunday within Manchester City Centre and utilised in outlying District Centres where appropriate. The Enforcement Officers' role would be to deal with the issues listed below, where when witnessed the service of a Fixed Penalty Notice would be served for the following offences. * Littering * dog fouling * leaflet distribution * graffiti * flyposting * cycling on a footpath * Any bye-law offences for which we can issue FPNs * pigeon feeding (littering) Other functions that Enforcement officers would be asked to carry out, but for which FPNs cannot be issued would be to gather evidence to support enforcement action in respect of * ASB/Begging * Pedlars * Buskers * Preachers * Skateboarding The scope of the service may be extended to include offences covered by additional legislation with agreement of the Parties.
