SC7185/19 SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF FOUR INDUSTRIAL COLLABORATIVE ROBOTS (ESIF FUNDED) This project is funded by the European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF) and the procurement is dependent on the final funding agreement. The University of Birmingham invites tenders for supply of four collaborative robots. The four robots will form facilities created as part of the ERDF project, which will be used to facilitate/support the take-up of high impact remanufacturing technologies by the SMEs in West Midlands. In this context, the robots will be used to develop new applications for the technology in collaboration with technology providers and carry out feasibility studies and pilot projects to address the specific requirements of local SMEs. Therefore, it will be required as part of the project to build strong partnerships with the technology providers and define a joint co-funded R&D programme for the benefits of local businesses. General characteristics The robots should be able to deliver motion planning and execution with high accuracy and repeatability, as well as a safe collaborative environment. Specification Essential: - Three collaborative robots with a payload no less than 14kg 1) Integrated vision system for identification and positioning; 2) Maximum payload should be no less than 14 kg; 3) Reach of arm should be no less than 1m; 4) Repeatability should be no more than 0.1mm; 5) Maximum speed of any axis should be no less than 120?/s; 6) Software tools and instructions should be incorporated for programming, configuration and operation; 7) Electric grippers provided. - One collaborative robot with a payload no less than 5 kg 1) Integrated vision system for identification and positioning; 2) Maximum payload should be no less than 5kg; 3) Software tools and instructions should be incorporated for programming, configuration and operation. Preferable: -Force/torque sensors installed on the three high payload robots All tender questions must be answered within the tender form to facilitate comparison of responses. Overall budget for this item is up to ?215,000.00 GBP excluding VAT Additional information: 1.1 All main correspondence should go via the University's In-Tend website.
