Notice Description

National Highways LED Programme Team is looking to set up a contract for provision of a Lighting Technical Assurance Advisor (TAA) to support the LED Programme Team in meeting the objective of fitting 70% of all highway lighting inventory (excluding bollards and signs) with an LED light source by March 2027. The TAA role represents NH interests, objectives, and requirements with regards to the successful delivery of the LED replacement programme and the overall objectives aligned with the Net Zero Plan. A commitment was made to fit 70% of all highway lighting inventory (excluding bollards and signs) with an LED light source by March 2027 and fit all LED luminaires with a central management system (CMS) to reduce the energy and carbon use for lighting on the Strategic Road Network. The LED Programme is being managed by the National Programmes Team. Phase one of the project under TO186 was undertaken by WSP on the production of the LED Energy and Carbon Reduction Roadmap and ongoing support under T0210 to National Highways (NH).
