Summary of the contracting process

The Buckinghamshire Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Request for Information - Recommissioning of Home Care in Buckinghamshire." This initiative aims to develop a new procurement model for home care services within Buckinghamshire, situated in the United Kingdom. The engagement end date for this process is set for 16 June 2022. The procurement will explore the creation of a Dynamic Purchasing Vehicle (DPV) to streamline the commissioning of home care packages across the county, which will subsequently require all current providers to apply for inclusion in the DPV.

This procurement opportunity presents significant prospects for businesses, especially those engaged in health and social work services. Companies that can demonstrate their ability to meet quality and price thresholds may be well-suited to join the DPV. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary and community sector organisations (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as their contributions could help shape a framework that will become vital for future home care service deliveries in the region.

Notice Title

Request for Information - Recommissioning of Home Care in Buckinghamshire

Notice Description

PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION NOT A TENDER Buckinghamshire is looking to develop a new procurement model for the commissioning of home care across the county. The Council is looking to develop a Dynamic Purchasing Vehicle (DPV) - a hybrid between a dynamic purchasing system and a framework. Suppliers will bid to join the DPV and, if successful in meeting the required quality/price thresholds, will be accepted onto the DPV. Individual packages of care will then be sourced through mini competitions. It is intended that the DPV will become the primary way of accessing council commissioned home care packages going forward. The DPV will be utilised for all new packages of care from the go live date. Any providers that the Council currently works with will need to apply to join the DPV in order to be able to bid for future packages of care. We welcome your input to ensure it is fit for purpose.
