Notice Description

Rushmoor Borough Council provides services to a population of over 90,000, principally to the towns of Farnborough and Aldershot and surrounding areas. Rushmoor is a district council and provides more than 100 different services to the local community, some key public services including planning; refuse and recycling collections; bereavement services, street cleaning; environmental health; housing; leisure; car parking and benefit payments. The Council has made a significant investment in IT systems and is heavily and increasingly reliant upon them to operate effectively and deliver services to the community. A recent survey by Point Topic put Rushmoor 22nd among Local Authorities for take-up of Broadband Services, 80.44% of households in Rushmoor have broadband - higher than the national average. On a given month the Council website receives around 35,000 visits. Background to the project The Council, as part of its Digital Strategy is seeking to enable efficient, convenient and modern ways for staff to work and access information. The case load for the legal team has steadily grown over recent years, until now the team has used paper-based systems and the standard Microsoft Office Suite to manage and track cases. The case load has now grown to such an extent that this has become unwieldy and inefficient. The legal team have identified that the implementation of a legal case management system, would support improved and more efficient working process, with better governance and would enable the team to work more collaboratively on cases.
