Job Title Planning Solicitor (Major Projects) Rate of Pay: PS23.09 to PS25.70 per hour PAYE (Inside IR35) Hours: 37 Location: Hybrid- Working from home and Sandwell Council House Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Temporary until 1st March 2023 Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: Planning Solicitor (Major Projects) At Sandwell Council we are progressive, dynamic and dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. We now wish to recruit a locum Planning Solicitor in our Major Projects team on an initial 3 month basis with the potential to be extended. You must be a qualified Solicitor with experience of advising on legal work relating to Planning including Project work, all aspects of legal work relating to CPO'S, highways, traffic, including all types of traffic orders, amending rights of ways adoption of sewers orders under the Water Industry Act, advising on Asset of Community Vale applications, advising and training elected member and officers in relation to planning legislation. The work will include advice to officers and Members and attendance at relevant meetings/panels/committees. The ideal candidate will be able to provide advice and assistance on all legal matters in relation planning legal work. This role is ideal for an experienced Solicitor who can demonstrate the ability to deal with a demanding caseload, possess excellent client care skills, and an eagerness to provide a high-quality service to our clients. Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and a copy of Terms and Conditions. You will also need to include your agency on cost details to each submission. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs. No DBS is required for this role.
