Notice Description

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is considering procuring additional outpatient capacity for its Ophthalmology speciality. The current thinking is that additional capacity is required for the following elements of the care pathway: * Clinical Assessment; * Diagnostics; * Treatment/Ongoing management; * Onward referral; Discharge. Additional outpatient capacity is required in the main for Glaucoma patients, approximately 40 per month. The procurement exercise aims to award one contract for the additional capacity for 12 months, with an optional 12 month extension. The service should enable the delivery of: * Responsive and patient centred care * High quality and safe care * Services which enable patients to choose a location convenient to them Prior to any future procurement process, UHB wish to engage with interested providers to present the service model for the contract and give them an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification where necessary. Accordingly potential providers of additional capacity are invited to attend a supplier engagement event to be held on the morning of Tuesday 7th February 2017. The event will also provide the opportunity for providers to express their thoughts on how Ophthalmology services might be delivered longer term to best benefit our patients, and to understand what different providers may have to offer in terms of service development, ideas and innovation. To register for the supplier engagement event please provide a maximum of two attendee details, your supplier name and contact information by following the instructions below. Additional information: Register your company on the eSourcing portal (this is only required once) - Browse to the eSourcing Portal: https://nhs.bravosolution.co.uk/nhs_collaborative/web/login.html and click the link to register - Accept the terms and conditions and click 'continue' - Enter your correct business and user details - Note the username you chose and click 'Save' when complete - You will shortly receive an email with your unique password (please keep this secure); 2. Express an Interest in the Tender - Login to the portal with the username/password - Click the 'PQQs / ITTs Open to All Suppliers' link. (These are Pre-Qualification Questionnaires or Invitations to Tender open to any registered supplier) - Click on the relevant PQQ/ ITT to access the content - Click the 'Express Interest' button at the top of the page - This will move the PQQ /ITT into your 'My PQQs/ My ITTs' page. (This is a secure area reserved for your projects only) - You can now access any attachments by clicking 'Buyer Attachments' in the 'PQQ/ ITT Details' box; 3.
