Notice Description

Swindon Borough Council is seeking to engage with the market for the provision of a high quality and client centred integrated community drug and alcohol service for adults. This market assessment is not part of the procurement process, but is purely investigative in nature, to potentially assist the Council in defining a specification and contract for the services. In preparation for this, it is our intention to run a Soft Market Testing/Preliminary Market Engagement to: * discuss our proposed commissioning intentions and * review the current supply market for community adult substance use disorder providers This advert relates to a proposed 'soft market testing' exercise only and is NOT a call for competition. Any contracts for services or supplies relating to this exercise may be subject to separate procurement processes in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended). Substance use disorders adult community services. The Aims of this event and questionnaire is to: 1. Gain the views of the provider market in regards to how harms created by substance use disorders can be best addressed in Swindon into the future from a prevention / treatment / recovery perspective 2. Understand the challenges which may present in the delivery of our vision and how these can be overcome The purpose of this SMT event is to gain intelligence on the supply market for Swindon Borough Council's requirements, including information that will help define the most appropriate structure, plan and budget for any potential competitive procurement exercise. The SMT will be in two parts, a Soft Market Questionnaire and a Microsoft Teams meeting, your organisation can participate in either or both. The closing date for the return of the SMT is 21/07/2022 5pm To participate in the Microsoft Teams meeting, this event is limited to two people from each organisation. Please email by 22/07/2022 and confirmed attendees to: Rsteptoe@swindon.gov.uk and MDube-Manungo@swindon.gov.uk and we will provide a meeting invitation The event will take place online on Microsoft Teams from 11.30am-13.00pm on Tuesday July 26th. For the avoidance of doubt, no information provided in response to this questionnaire will be used by the Council in assessing providers during any future procurement process.
