Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking to appoint a District Environmental Health Officer. We are looking to recruit a qualified Environmental Health Officer to work in our Public Protection team. The duties will mainly be involved in the investigation of statutory nuisances of all types, animal health, waste issues and also planning consultations. The successful applicant will be able to manage a large and complex case load and work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. Essential requirements: Undertaking a programme of food safety inspections, investigating service requests and infectious diseases, including all associated administrative and enforcement work. Hours: 37 hours Start date: ASAP End date: 3 months from start date, with a possibility of extending Rate of Pay: PS15.36 per hour (PAYE) Contract type: Agency Location: Court House, 335-337 High Street, West Bromwich Job Description and Person Specification attached.
