Notice Description

Synopsis: This Invitation to Tender requests tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified suppliers to establish a sole supplier framework for the provision of Taxi and Private Hire. The framework will be available to Lot 1 - University of Nottingham staff, visitors and delegates and Lot 2 - University of Nottingham Students' Union Members, staff, visitors and delegates. The full requirements are detailed within Appendix A, The Requirements. The aim of the tender is to award both lots to one (1) supplier. This is to maximise the value of the service provision offered to the University and the Students' Union. Financial vetting will be carried out using Credit Safe where a minimum score of 50 is required to ensure that a suppliers financial situation is appropriate for the allocation of lots. Where a tenderer does not achieve a minimum score of 50 then further investigation using up to the last three years audit accounts can be used. Failure to pass this will disqualify the tenderers submission. Objectives: To establish a framework for the Parties and ensure strategic developments such as: o Rationalise taxi and private hire provision for the Parties. o Improve the current service by providing improved management information and streamlined booking process. o Align with environmental carbon emission reduction objectives of the Parties. o Eliminate risk of Modern Day Slavery within the supply chain. Estimated Value - The Parties current expenditure per annum on taxi and private hire provision is severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic but the approximate expenditure for: o Lot 1 - University of Nottingham staff, visitors and delegates is ?200,000 based on expenditure between August 2018 to July 2019. o Lot 2 - University of Nottingham Students' Union Members, staff visitors and delegates is ?283,000 based on expenditure between April 2019 to March 2020. o Equating to a total expenditure of ?483,000 per year or ?1,449,000 over the maximum three (3) years length of the framework. Framework Duration - The framework will be established for an initial period of two (2) years with an option to extend for a further one (1) year period. The framework is intended to start on for: o Lot 1 - University of Nottingham staff, visitors and delegates - 26th October 2021 to 31st July 2023 or with an extension to 31st July 2024. o Lot 2 - University of Nottingham Students' Union Members, staff visitors and delegates. - 3rd September 2021 to 31st July 2023 or with an extension to 31st July 2024.
