Summary of the contracting process

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process titled "Backup Solutions." This initiative is focused on enhancing data storage and backup services for various platforms, including VMware and Office365, among others. The engagement deadline for suppliers interested in participating in this early market engagement is set for 12:00 on 2nd November 2020. The procurement is classified under the data storage services category within the West Midlands region of England.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in backup and data storage solutions, particularly those that can offer integrated services for both on-site and cloud-based data management. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with innovative backup solutions, as well as established providers familiar with the NHS procurement landscape, are well-suited to compete. Engaging in this process could not only fulfil the Trust’s needs but also expand market reach for participating suppliers.
