Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) seeking expressions of interest for the "NHS Doncaster CCG Extended Access Provision" tender. This initiative, classified under health and social work services, is currently in the planning stage, aiming to engage the market to assess potential service providers before the contract begins in October 2018. Key dates include the engagement end date on 28th February 2018, and market engagement meetings scheduled for 13th and 16th March 2018. Interested parties are encouraged to register for these meetings to influence the final service model and secure a contract to deliver the extended access services.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the healthcare sector, particularly suitable for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community social enterprises (VCSEs). Companies with expertise in providing healthcare services, including managing patient access and integrating service delivery with existing health infrastructures, would be ideal candidates. The procurement aims to improve access to healthcare for patients registered with Doncaster CCG member practices, thus creating a collaborative environment for service providers focused on efficient, patient-centric solutions.
